Role Purpose

At Winch Design, we have very few clients but they are some of the most valuable clients in the world. The Client Development and CRM Manager’s role is to ensure we are systematising the process of collecting, analysing and using client information to better serve our clients, acquire new clients and retain them.  The role is also expected to proactively develop strategies for engaging with both existing clients and new clients, research and create specific plans based on agreed strategic objectives. This includes targeting certain geographic areas as well as investigating and developing plans for new business opportunities.  This is primarily a back-of-house role with ability to engage at relevant events when required.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Monitor and analyse the client experience / journey:
    • Document how we engage with clients, what are the milestones and expectations at various moments in the journey (beyond design)
    • Working with the departments, make recommendations of improvements to the client journey
  • Develop the CRM tool:  
    • Improve quality control and process, working with the studio assistants and also inputting information to ensure all client data is accurate at all times.
    • Developing new functionality with IT Manager and prioritising what functionality will have the highest impact on client acquisition and retention
    • Monitor CRM issues within the business and report back to IT Manager
    • Be a trainer and advocate within the company for CRM
    • Responsible for GDPR compliance in field of CRM
    • Lead CRM integration with Deltek 
  • Use CRM to develop 1-1 client development strategies:
    • Allocating contacts to staff within WD and creating regular tasks
    • Regularly meeting with HoDs to collect information and give them information back to help them with their pipeline efforts
    • Research new prospective clients and develop strategies to target them
    • Develop communication channels (eg: newsletter to Captains, Internal Bus Dev updates etc)
  • Develop market intelligence:
    • Record market and client intelligence into CRM (assets owned, influencers, brokers, past designers…)
    • Create intelligence reporting back to Senior Management to generate pipeline leads for instance
  • Events & gifts:
    • Generate guestlists for events
    • Liaise with HoM to manage any client focussed/bus dev events (eg: lunches with brokers)
    • Research and organise client gifts with input from Department 
  •  Liaison with marketing team. Ensure all bus dev activities are integrated within the marketing mix and take ownership of these elements.

 Qualifications and work experience

  •  Similar experience for 3-5 years in Client Development or Business Development in a luxury goods company, auction house, ultra high end real estate agent or private bank is essential
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is essential 
  • UHNWI facing skills are desirable

Remuneration and benefits

  • Competitive salary available depending on level of experience
  • Hours 9:30am – 5:30pm – Monday to Friday
  • 24 days annual leave per annum
