Yachts and Aviation Internship
Looking for an interiors focused Internship, in bespoke yacht and aviation interiors? Excel in Indesign, Photoshop, sketching and have a positive attitude to learning? We would love to hear from you!
The role
Interns are integral to Winch Design.
We are now looking for two Interns to join our yachts and aviation interior design team to work with our designers and project managers on a broad range of custom yacht and aviation interiors. (If you are looking for an exteriors focused role, then this isn't the one for you I'm afraid).
Throughout your time with us, you'll support your colleagues and you will be immersed in a variety of project work. Your work and contributions will be valuable to the team from the start; it might be designing a layout or detail, designing custom furniture, presentation production, floor plan rendering - the list is endless.
It doesn't happen every time, but often our Interns have stayed well beyond their initial Internship, developed their skills and experience and become some of the most experienced and indispensable members of our team.
Skills and personality traits
You will need to excel in InDesign and photoshop and be as comfortable sketching with a pencil as you are sketching digitally. AutoCAD and Rhino skills would be advantageous, but if you don't have these, a willingness to learn these quickly will work too. You will need to enjoy working at a fast pace and be a curious individual with strong communication skills. A positive attitude to learning, and life in general, is absolutely key for this role.
Qualifications and portfolio
A relevant degree such as Transport Design, or Yacht Design will be essential, as will the ability to showcase your work in a succinct and creative portfolio. PDF attached to your application is preferred.

Testimonial from a recent Yachts and Aviation intern
The fantastic Internship at Winch design offered me invaluable hands-on experience in the design industry. Working with a talented and fun team, learning about every aspect of yacht design on a range of extraordinary projects, whilst engaging in the dynamic life of a professional design studio. It was a memorable experience that I will never forget!
