SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

What is the purpose of the role?

Reporting into an Associate, Yachts and Aviation Interiors this Senior Interior Designer role will take ownership of FF&E across selected luxury yacht and potentially private aviation projects, working from concept through to installation. You will develop refined design schemes, source exceptional pieces, create bespoke furniture and joinery concepts, prepare client presentations and coordinate closely with procurement, suppliers, makers and internal design teams. You will be confident managing multiple projects, mentoring junior designers and ensuring every detail reflects the studio’s creative vision and exacting standards.

About You

You will be a creative, organised and detail-driven designer with a passion for luxury interiors, craftsmanship and bespoke FF&E. You will have a strong eye for materials, colour, texture and proportion, alongside the confidence to lead projects and communicate clearly with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?

• Lead FF&E design for luxury yacht and private aviation interiors from concept to completion

• Develop mood boards, sample boards, presentations and refined design schemes

• Source furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, accessories, artwork and decorative pieces

• Design and develop bespoke furniture, joinery and interior elements

• Produce FF&E schedules, specifications and procurement information

• Coordinate with procurement teams, suppliers, manufacturers and specialist craftspeople

• Work closely with interior designers, architects, yacht and aviation specialists, and project managers

• Attend client presentations, supplier meetings, project reviews and site visits as required

• Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

• Mentor and support junior designers within a collaborative studio environment

What skills and experience will you need for the role?

• 5–7+ years’ experience in high-end interior design with a strong FF&E focus

• Experience across luxury residential, hospitality, yacht or private aviation projects

• Excellent FF&E knowledge, including sourcing, specification and procurement

• Experience designing bespoke furniture, joinery and decorative interior elements

• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, fabrics and craftsmanship

• Confident client-facing, presentation and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

• Experience mentoring or supporting junior designers

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign

• SketchUp, FileMaker or similar tools would be advantageous

• Degree or qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts or similar

• Fluent English and flexibility to travel internationally when required

What are the pay and benefits for the role?

• Full time salary from £54,000 depending on experience

• Hours 9:30am – 5:30pm – Monday to Friday

• 24 days annual leave per annum

What is the interview process and timeline?

Interviews will be a minimum of two stages, and a mix of Teams and in person at the studio in SW15.

We are aiming to hire as soon as possible, with the selected candidate in role by the end of September.
